Simple Success
Jul 8th, 2008 | By Bart Beattie | Category: Around The WebTwo recent articles over at SuccessSoul highlight teachings of a pair of famous successful people - Bruce Lee and Albert Einstein. While drastically different men, both articles seem to weave an underlying thread that success is created by the simple things; focus, dedication, giving value to others.
In the first article, “Albert Einstein’s 7 lessons from the School of Hard Knocks“, author Brett Mckay talks about how Albert had fairly simple philosophies that governed his life and drove his success. He quoted Einstein saying, “It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”
The second article, “Bruce Lee’s 6 ways to develop a kick-ass attitude”, writer Shilpan quotes Lee and affirms the value of that clarity of purpose, simplification and selfless giving. Bruce’s comment that “It’s not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.” - really brings out the natural core of success and for that matter, Zen.
Both are definitely worth a read.
